Distribution in the Canary Islands

Center and North of Gran Canaria.

Origin

Habitat

Species of humid forest environments, linked to the more humid monteverde formations. They are found, in general, on the dead and clustered leaves on the plants, at the foot of the trees, under the bark and inside the galleries on old stems. It is likely to be more abundant in the treetops, as has happened with other species of the same genus in other islands. (Vice-Ministry of the Environment, 2009)

Population data

In the census conducted in 2009, 4 adults were counted. (López et al., 2009)
