Coasts South of Tenerife, and Northwest of Gran Canaria.
It lives in the mid-upper horizon of the tidal zone, where it resists desiccation by forming aggregations in the cracks of rocky substrates with sandy contributions, which makes it difficult to observe them, as they are often clogged with debris. (Bonnet & Rodríguez, 1992)
