Distribution in the Canary Islands

Coasts Northeast of El Hierro, Northeast, East, Southeast and West of La Palma, Northeast of La Gomera, Southwest, Southeast and East of Tenerife, Northeast, Northwest and East of Gran Canaria, South, West of Fuerteventura, South, Southeast and East of Lanzarote, and Chinijo archipelago (Montaña Clara).

Habitat

Own species of rocky, detritic bottoms and bottoms sandy-muddy infralittoral deep and circalitorales. (Vice-Ministry of the Environment, 2009)

Population data

In the censuses carried out in 2002 and 2003, copies were found: 157 in Lanzarote, 128 in Fuerteventura and 1 in La Gomera. In La Palma and Gran Canaria, no specimen was found. (Vice-Ministry of the Environment, 2009)
