North and Southeast of El Hierro, North, Center and East of Palma, Center and Northeast of La Gomera, South, Southeast and Northeast of Tenerife, and Center and North of Gran Canaria.

Origin

Habitat

Live on any type of rocks, in castings, walls, edges of ditches, hollows between rocks of gully beds, in areas covered with mosses in the interior of forests, in shady places and sometimes in exposed places but with high phreatic humidity. It covers an altitudinal range between 700 and 2000 msm, in the domain of the Monteverde and even reaches the wet pine forests. (Vice-Ministry of the Environment, 2009)

Population data

The censuses carried out in 2009 estimate the population of El Hierro in 300 copies as a minimum and the population of Gran Canarias in 119 copies. (Sánchez, T., 2009) and (Mesa, R., 2009). In 2010, 257 copies were counted in Tenerife and 232 in La Palma; the species was not found in La Gomera. (Mesa, R., 2010)
