Distribution in the Canary Islands

West of El Hierro, North and East of La Palma, Center and North of La Gomera, North and Northeast of Tenerife, Center, North and Northwest of Gran Canaria.

Habitat

Humid and shaded forests, in humid places of the Monteverde. (González, 2002)

Population data

In the census carried out in 2009, 51 specimens were counted in Gran Canaria: 48 adults and 3 juveniles. (Sánchez, T., 2009). In the censuses carried out in 2010, 363 copies were recorded in La Gomera and 24 copies in La Palma. The species is considered missing in Tenerife. (Mesa, R., 2010).
