Macaronésico Endemism (Wild and Canary)
South and North of Fuerteventura (including Lobos), West and Northwest of Lanzarote, and Chinijo archipelago (Graciosa, Montaña Clara and Alegranza).
Species associated with coastal areas influenced by the constant action of the seas. It develops both on sandy substrates and on clayey-rocky substrates. (Bañares et al., 2009)
In the census conducted in 2008, 11,666 individuals were counted distributed as follows: Fuerteventura: 2,529 copies; Wolves: 564 individuals; Lanzarote: 564 specimens and Chinijo Archipelago: 8,026 specimens. (Vice-Ministry of the Environment, 2009)
