Habitat

Element of the fayal-heather forests, generally relegated to rocky environments. Create on cliffs and glades affected indirectly by the trade wind, through the sea of ​​clouds that originates at certain altitudes in the north of the island (Gómez et al., 1996)

Population data

In the census conducted in 2013, 642 specimens were counted, of which the 13 specimens from the San Salvador subpopulation are reinforcement (TRAGSATEC, 2013)
