Canary endemic
Center, North and South of La Palma, and North and Southeast of Tenerife.
Own mountainous areas, where it occupies places with some humidity in the ground or bottoms of barranquillos in the area of the pine forest, usually in places somewhat shaded (Gómez et al., 1996)
In the census reported in 2007, 4,304 individuals were counted, of whom 2,144 were adults and 2,160 were juveniles. (Vice-Ministry of the Environment, 2007)
