Component of shrub thickets linked to the thermophilic forest, both in southern and northern slopes, in cool or semi-somber places (Gómez et al., 1996)

Population data

In the census carried out in 2010, 560 copies were counted in Tenerife and 22 copies in Gran Canaria. In Tenerife, two localities due to anthropic causes (cleaning of farms) are considered missing. (Vice-Ministry of the Environment, 2010)
