Canary endemic
Northwest and Southeast of Tenerife.
It is developed mainly in the granadillal, although it takes clearings in the dry monteverde where the specimens are less developed (Beltrán et al., 1999)
In the census conducted in 2012, 135 individuals and hundreds of seedlings were counted. The reinforcement site of the Charca del Río is provisionally considered missing. (TRAGSATEC, 2012)
