Canary endemic
Center, Northeast and South of La Gomera, and Northwest, Northeast and Southeast of Tenerife.
It is part of the monteverde, settling in steep areas. (Gómez et al., 1996)
In the census conducted in 2007, 380 individuals were counted, of whom 247 were adults and 133 were juveniles. (Vice-Ministry of the Environment, 2007)
