Habitat

This species is part of the monteverde, often located in rocky situations on steep slopes and under the influence of the sea of ​​clouds (Bañares et al., 2004)

Population data

In the census conducted in 2012, 59 individuals were counted in La Palma, of whom 41 were adults, 8 were juveniles and 10 were virginal; the subpopulations of Barranco Fagundo and Barranco Porlier seem to have disappeared. In Tenerife, 17 were counted, of which 13 were adults and 4 were juveniles; the subpopulation of El Pijaral is provisionally considered to have disappeared (TRAGSATEC, 2012)
