Canary endemic
Center of La Gomera.
Present at the edge of the forest domain of the laurisilva. Live at the base of a Roque, about 900 meters above sea level (Bañares & Romero, 1990)
The census conducted in 2014 counted 627 individuals of which 116 were adults, 459 were juveniles and 52 were seedlings. They correspond with natural specimens as well as reinforcement and introduction. (Vice-Ministry of the Environment, 2014)
