Downtown of Tenerife.
It grows in small shelves that are in the middle of basaltic escarpments, on compacted volcanic ash and in areas of debris, in areas of the top scrub (Gómez et al., 1996)
In the census conducted in 2006, 815 adults were counted. (Vice-Ministry of the Environment, 2006)
