Origin

Habitat

It grows on platforms and shaded cornices, at the foot of ancient basaltic cliffs and oriented to the north and in the monteverde area, with generally constant fogs (Gómez et al., 1996)

Population data

In the census conducted in 2013, 637 individuals were counted, of whom 27 were adults, 500 were juveniles and 10 were virginal. (Vice-Ministry of the Environment, 2013)
