Habitat

It grows in steep escarpments in open and shady places of mixed pine forests with monteverde. (Gómez et al., 1996)

Population data

In the census conducted in 2014, 338 individuals were counted, of which 254 were adults, 12 were juveniles and 72 were virginal. (Vice-Ministry of the Environment, 2014)
