It grows in slope slopes near the coast or in the interior, as well as in sandy areas more or less compacted in the interior. (Reyes et al., 2000)

Population data

In 2003, the population was estimated at 56,514. In 2008, 2 new cores with more than 10,000 copies were discovered. (Vice-Ministry of the Environment, 2009)
