Origin

Habitat

Present in gleras of the high mountain, on superficially mobile, stony, pyroclastic substrates, either in flat areas or of strong slope, between 2000 and 2600 msm (Beltrán et al., 1999)

Population data

In the census carried out in 2006, 748 specimens were counted: 388 adults, 300 juveniles and 60 seedlings (Vice-Ministry of the Environment, 2006)
