Downtown of Tenerife.
It preferably colonizes stony soils of retamar with pine trees, although it can also be found in pine forests and in high mountain wetlands. (Bañares et al., 2004)
In the census conducted in 2007, 1,426 copies were counted, of which 1,132 were adults and 294 were juveniles. (Vice-Ministry of the Environment, 2007)
