Habitat

It grows preferably in rocky environments, as a refuge for the predation of goats but can also be found on slopes, on partially altered stony substrates (Gómez et al., 1996)

Population data

In the census conducted in 2003, the population was estimated at 12,693 specimens, but not all of the localities were surveyed. (Vice-Ministry of the Environment, 2003)
