Origin

Habitat

It inhabits areas of influence of the trade winds, affected by the presence of the sea of ​​clouds, which gives it a great contribution of moisture. It is found on inaccessible shelves, in a situation of refuge from herbivores. (Vice-Ministry of the Environment, 2009)

Population data

In the census carried out in 2010, the population was estimated at 1,720 specimens: 1,700 adults and juveniles for Fuerteventura and 20 adults and juveniles for Lanzarote, (Vice-Ministry of the Environment, 2010)
