Practically in all the island of El Hierro (except in the Northeast), La Palma (except North and Northwest), Tenerife (except Northeast and coastal areas of the Northwest, West, Southwest, South and Southeast).

Origin

Habitat

Species closely linked to the forested masses, pine forest, mixed pine forest, monteverde, also to the dry supracanary floor, more rarely to thermophilic remains and to the cardonal-tabaibal with vegetation typical of northern cliffs. It takes refuge in volcanic tubes, generally used only at night, water galleries, vaults in houses and abandoned buildings and other natural and artificial caves. The altitudinal range ranges between 100 m and 2,300 m. (Palomo et al., 2007)
