Habitat

It is mainly restricted to the lower areas of the islands and especially to the coastal cliffs, although it can sometimes be seen apparently nesting in the interiors of Apus unicolor colonies several kilometers from the coast. Breeding in crevices of ravines and coastal cliffs, as well as in buildings. The Canarian population leaves the archipelago after the nesting. (Martín & Lorenzo, 2001)
