British Isles, the European countries of the Mediterranean basin, the Middle East and Central Asia.
Virtually the whole island of El Hierro (except South), La Palma, La Gomera, Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura (including Lobos), Lanzarote and Chinijo archipelago (Graciosa, Montaña Clara and Alegranza).
It is very distributed throughout the archipelago, occupying rocks and islets, coastal cliffs and ravines, both in the basal floor and in pine and even monteverde areas. (Martín & Lorenzo, 2001)
