Center, South and East of La Gomera, practically the whole island of Tenerife, Central West, Northeast, East and South of Gran Canaria, practically all of Fuerteventura (including Lobos), the whole island of Lanzarote, and the Chinijo archipelago (Alegranza, Montaña Clara , Graciosa and Roque del Este).
It is relegated to arid environments of the eastern islands, requires rugged places, cliffs, ravines, and even coastal cliffs where to install their nests. It nests in small caves or shelves, usually in inaccessible places, although easily accessible nests are known on the islands and islets. In general, he makes daily movements of several kilometers between feeding places and their roosts. Often visit garbage dumps and areas where household waste is usually thrown.
