Canary endemic
Practically all the island of La Gomera and Tenerife and Central-North of Gran Canaria.
Present in forests, both pine and monteverde. In addition, it can be observed in crop areas, especially in the immediate vicinity of the lower limit of the forest. It also penetrates the most humid parts of the basal floor through ravines, and to a lesser extent in towns and cities (Martín & Lorenzo, 2001)
