Origin

Habitat

The natural population is in a Risco, between 80 and 500 msm, in areas of xeric scrub. It has been reintroduced into a Roque Marino, with little vegetation. (Salvador, 2009)

Population data

The population is estimated at 547 individuals: 210 individuals in the natural population of Fuga de la Gorreta; 36 specimens reintroduced in Roque Chico de Salmor; 215 reintroduced in the Julán and 86 reintroduced in the juniper of La Dehesa. (Vice-Ministry of the Environment, 2004).
