Origin

Habitat

Its setting takes place in the Sargasso Sea at great depths. After emergence larvae of pelagic habits emerge, which with the help of the currents will reach the European and North African coasts. The larva is transformed into an angula and traces the rivers where it will live until the beginning of its sexual maturation, at which point it ends its permanence in them. Finally, it returns to the sea to continue its maturation at great depths ending once again in the Sargasso Sea, where it reproduces. (Doadrio, 2002)
