La especie que se cita en este artículo es una enmienda de identificación errónea, basada en material citado por Jörstad (1966, C00172), como Passarola depressa. El nombre de la especie correcto es Cercosporiodium punctum y el material original fue recolectedo en Pedro Alvarez (Tenerife)
