Financing of the Biodiversity Data Bank of the Canary Islands (BDBC)

The platform of the Biodiversity Data Bank of the Canary Islands is co-financed by the Government of the Canary Islands and the European Union, through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Operational Program FEDER Canarias 2014-2020, within the Project Bank of the Inventory Natural of the Canary Islands (BIOCAN). It is developed in the context of the Thematic Objective 6 "Protect the environment and promote the efficiency of resources". Likewise, the specific objective of this project is the development and use of innovative technologies for the improvement of environmental protection, its field of intervention being innovation to improve the efficiency of data registration in the field of the environment and facilitation of its access to Administrations. Public, companies and citizenship, in line with the Biodiversity Strategy for 2020 of the European Union.
