Practically all the islands of El Hierro and La Palma, Central, North and East of La Gomera, Center, Northeast, Southeast, North and Northwest of Tenerife, and Center, Northwest, North, Northeast and East of Gran Canaria.

Habitat

Social insect whose colonies have the three castes of individuals typical of social insects, building their nests on the ground. It is observed visiting a great diversity of flowering plants. (Vice-Ministry of the Environment, 2009)
