Canary endemic
North, Northeast, Northwest and Southeast of Tenerife, and Center, Northeast and Southwest of Gran Canaria.
It lives in areas of medium altitudes between 200 and 1400 masl, both in monteverde and in cultivated areas, where it has found a secondary habitat. (Vice-Ministry of the Environment, 2009)
