Coasts East, North, Northeast, East, South and Southwest of La Palma, South of La Gomera, North, Northeast, East, South and Southwest of Tenerife, Northwest of Gran Canaria, South, East and North of Fuerteventura, and Southeast of Lanzarote .

Live on rocky littoral bottoms, generally below the lower limit of the tide. (Bonnet & Rodríguez, 1992)

Population data

In the censuses carried out in 2002 and 2003, 7 horses were counted: 4 in Fuerteventura and 3 in Lanzarote. (Vice-Ministry of the Environment, 2009)
