South Coast, Northwest and Northeast of El Hierro, practically all the coast of La Palma (except West), North, Northeast, East and South of La Gomera, Tenerife (except Southeast), Gran Canaria (except Southeast and West), South and Northwest of Fuerteventura, West of Lanzarote and Chinijo archipelago (Montaña Clara).

It forms dense communities in rocky substrata of the eulitral (between the maximum lines of high tide and low tide) lower semi-exposed (Haroun et al., 2003)
