Origin

Habitat

It inhabits rocky muddy areas of the mesolithic strip and less frequently, in the shallow subtidal, frequently between the first 2-3 m depth, although it can reach up to 10 m. It is usually fixed to rocky surfaces of walls and bottoms, generally in small and shallow pools with little dense vegetation and short fronds. It prefers areas that are very exposed to sunlight, although it can also appear in sheltered areas with little sunlight. (Vice-Ministry of the Environment, 2009)
