Shaded and humid places of the monteverde (mainly in gully channels). (González, 2002)

Population data

In the census carried out in 2009 for the island of Gran Canaria, 15 specimens were counted and it is estimated that the population is less than 50 individuals. (Sánchez, T., 2009). In 2010, 6,269 copies were recorded in Tenerife: 5,802 adults and 467 juveniles, 7,264 in La Gomera: 6,855 adults and 409 juveniles and 15,013 in La Palma: 14,476 adults and 537 juveniles. (Mesa, R., 2010)
