Worldwide distribution

Canary endemic

Distribution in the Canary Islands

Northwest and West of Gran Canaria.

Origin

Habitat

It grows on cliffs, platforms and hillsides with low inclination in areas of sweet tabaibal and jarales. (Bañares et al., 2009)

Population data

In the census conducted in 2007 the population is estimated between 6,655 and 14,943 copies. The 2007 fire could affect some nuclei of Inagua, since there were no specimens of which there was evidence in the 2003 census. Neither could be verified in Güigüí. (Vice-Ministry of the Environment, 2009)
