Canary endemic
Center, West and Northeast of La Palma.
Accompanist of the bushes of codesos of the high Canarian mountain. It prefers sunny places, where in winter you must endure the snowfall (Gómez et al., 1996)
The monitoring carried out by the La Caldera de Taburiente NP in the years 2006-2007 accounted for 7,045 copies of which 4,984 are adults and 2,061 are juveniles; although it does not differentiate what percentage is natural population and what to reinforcements and introductions. (Vice-Ministry of the Environment, 2009)
