Canary endemic
North of La Palma, and North and Center of La Gomera.
It is part of recovery environments typical of the fayal-brezal. It can also be found at the foot of cliffs and small rocky platforms (Beltrán et al., 1999)
In the 2004 census, 2,682 copies were recorded in La Gomera and 3,576 copies in La Palma. (Vice-Ministry of the Environment, 2009)
