Plant that inhabits coastal sands and sandy-stony plains. (Beltrán et al., 1999)

Population data

In 2009, 259,519 adult individuals distributed in 11 populations were counted, 17,507 specimens belonging to 7 populations of Gran Canaria and 242,012 individuals to 4 populations of Fuerteventura. (Vice-Ministry of the Environment, 2009)
