Habitat

Present in the monteverde, with high rainfall (800-1000 mm) and slightly acidic deep soils, and preferably on well-lit slopes (Gómez et al., 1996)

Population data

In the census conducted in 2002, 3,023 copies were counted, of which 2,255 were adults and the rest corresponded to juveniles and seedlings and an estimated 10,000 copies plus the total population. (Vice-Ministry of the Environment, 2009)
