Canary endemic
South of Tenerife.
It lives on small platforms, cliffs and humid and shady cliffs, preferably with N orientation, in environments typical of thermophilic forests, sometimes in contact with the tabaibals-cardonales. (Beltrán et al., 1999)
The data for the year 2006 estimate the population in 2,072 adults (Vice-Ministry of the Environment, 2009)
