Origin

Habitat

It grows in fissures and platforms of a rock. At the base and slopes adjacent to the rock, on volcanic materials and debris from works made by humans, the species thrives and spreads, forming part of the incense-vinegar. (Beltrán et al., 1999)

Population data

In the census carried out in 2009, 1,421 specimens were counted, of which 842 were adults, 370 were juveniles and 209 were seedlings. (Vice-Ministry of the Environment, 2009)
