Habitat

It lives in the high mountain, area of ​​the retamar-codesar, in zones where small lakes are formed after the thaw. Also on pumitical soils, and even on recent lapillis. (Gómez et al., 1996)

Population data

The last data referring to this species (2001) refers to a nucleus in Siete Cañadas of about 300 specimens and another one in the Huevos del Teide that had about 2000 plants. (Vice-Ministry of the Environment, 2009)
