Origin

Habitat

It grows in places exposed to the sea wind, and forms small dunes around it when the soil is sandy. It usually occurs in small troughs or ravines with greater accumulation of moisture in winter. (Bañares et al., 2004)

Population data

In the census conducted in 2012 in the monitoring of the two parcels of population dynamics, 209 individuals were counted. (TRAGSATEC, 2012). In the census carried out in 2011 in the different localities, the population was estimated at 89,431 adults. (Vice-Ministry of the Environment, 2011)
