South and East Center of Fuerteventura, West, Center and North of Lanzarote, and Chinijo archipelago (Graciosa and Montaña Clara).
Species with a rupicolous tendency, live in steep areas, slopes, knives, rocks and badlands between 200 and 600 msm, in more or less arid places. (Vice-Ministry of the Environment, 2009)
The 2003 census in Fuerteventura accounted for 55 individuals in inaccessible cliffs. The 2003 census in Lanzarote estimated the population at 1,665 individuals. (Vice-Ministry of the Environment, 2003)
