Habitat

It grows on the edge of the fumaroles of the crater of El Teide, near the Peak, at about 3500 masl (Greuter, 2003)

Population data

They have registered 185 copies distributed in their two locations: 117 copies in La Rambleta and 68 copies in Guajara. (Vice-Ministry of the Environment, 2009)
