Habitat

It grows on platforms that are not too wide, where some soil and organic matter accumulate on a cliff escarpment with a North orientation, with marine influence and almost permanently in excess during most of the year, in a thermophilic forest distribution area in contact with tabaibal- cardonal (Mesa et al., 2001)

Population data

In the census conducted in 2011, 56 individuals were counted (54 adults and 2 juveniles). (Vice-Ministry of the Environment, 2011)
