Origin

Habitat

It grows on small shelves or crevices, with little soil, of the steep cliffs of a powerful lava flow, in relatively cool environments and exposed to the dominant trade winds. (Gómez et al., 1996)

Population data

In the census conducted in 2007, 552 individuals were counted, of which 544 were adults and 8 were juveniles. (Vice-Ministry of the Environment, 2007)
