Canary endemic
North of Tenerife.
It grows on clay-stony slopes, abandoned crops and edges of tracks in the area of thermophilic forests. It is part of grasslands of altered environments, although it can also participate in those that take advantage of the shade conditions of stone walls, rocks, etc. (Reyes-Betancort, 2003)
According to the available data (2008), it has a population of 3,771. (Vice-Ministry of the Environment, 2009)
